What’s On in London this Spring

GUYS the sun is finally out and we are officially in spring, we made it! Iced coffees are back, picnics are suddenly everyone’s Sunday afternoon, and we’re all enjoying the longer days.

So if like me, you’re determined to make the most of the sunshine (because we all know it might not last), here are some of the best ways to enjoy London in the sun…from cute park spots to sunset views, pub gardens and fun activities.

Whether you’re planning a wholesome day out, a drink in the park with your friends, or just looking for an excuse to get outside, here are a few ideas to make the most of spring in London.

Kensigton Gardens

Get outside and in the SUNSHINE

London in the sunshine is honestly one of the best things…London THRIVES in the sun. So grab your iced coffee, make the most of the rare blue skies, and add a few of these sunny-day spots to your list.

Primrose Hill

Kensington Gardens & Pedal Boats

Stroll through Kensington Gardens, one of London’s prettiest green places, and head towards the Serpentine to rent a pedal boat with your friends! This sits on the border of Hyde Park, but it’s an easy walk through the gardens.

Columbia Road Flower Market

Looking for a wholesome way to spend your Sunday morning? Head to Columbia Road Flower Market in East London and browse the vibrant flower stalls, pick up a bunch for home and stop by one of the local bakeries for a coffee and pastry.

The Hill Garden & Pergola, Hampstead

Hampstead Heath is one of the most popular viewing spots in London, although The Hill Garden & Pergola isn’t talked about enough! This secret garden was built in the 1900s as a private garden. It feels like you’ve stepped into a fairytale, filled with overgrown vines, wisteria and stone pillars, AND it’s completely free to visit.

Regent Park’s Cherry Blossoms

We’re always on the hunt for iconic blossoms as soon as spring hits, so head to Regent’s Park Cherry Blossom Walk for one of the prettiest spring walks (and to get your Insta pics!) The Chester Road area and Avenue Gardens near the Broad Walk are some of the best spots, although expect this to be filled with lots of people trying to capture their pictures as well…

Hampton Court Palace’s Tulip Festival (Until 26th April 2026)

The annual Tulip Festival at Hampton Court Palace has returned, and it’s well worth the short trip outside London. Hop on a quick train to Surrey and wander through vibrant gardens filled with hundreds of tulips in full bloom, before stepping inside Henry VIII’s incredible palace. It’s the perfect spring day out that feels a little bit different from the usual London routine.

Chelsea Flower Show (19th-23rd May 2026)

The world’s most famous flower show is back this May! The Chelsea Flower Show transforms the gardens into a colourful display of floral art and installations.

Catch the sunset at Primrose Hill

Grab a drink, some snacks, and feel like you’re in a movie while enjoying the gorgeous sunset at Primrose Hill, one of the most iconic viewpoints in London, with a skyline of the city.

Spot Deer at Richmond Park

Richmond Park is one of those spots that makes you forget you’re still in London. Enjoy the fresh air and the gorgeous walks…and keep your eyes eels for roaming deer! The perfect spot for a slower afternoon, Richmond also has lots of great pubs where you can sit back with a drink or Sunday roast afterwards.

Riverside Pubs & Pub Gardens

Of course, whenever the sun is shining we want a cold drink in our hand in a pub garden, so I’ve picked out some of the nicest spots to grab a drink outside with your mates.
